Silly Saturday Facts Collection No. 1

Hello everybody and welcome back to another installment of Nations Made Fun!. I'll be your host, Mr. Nations, your guide to the world. I have noticed it is getting increasingly difficult to find fun facts about countries, so I am going to try something new. Instead of writing about one fact for the entire post, I'll only do like three or four little facts in one post. Let's get right into it!
  • Did you know that in 1895, there were only two cars on the road in the entire state of Ohio? Unfortunately, the two ran into each other. How?
  • The first person to die building the Hoover Dam was J.G. Tierny on December 20th, 1922. The last person to die was J.G. Tierny's son, who died on December 20th, 1935.
  • South African astronomer Danie du Toit was giving a lecture at age 49 about how death could come at any time. Shortly after, he popped a mint into his mouth and choked to death.
