Summer States No. 14 - Vermont

     Hello everybody and welcome back to another installment of Nations Made Fun! I'll be your host, Mr. Nations, your tour guide to the wacky world of international history! Today we'll be taking a look at Vermont, the fourteenth state to be admitted into the United States. Well, what are we waiting for, let's get into it!

  • Capital: Montpelier
  • Population: 625,741 (2010)
  • Size: 9,616 square miles
  • Motto: Freedom and Unity
  • Tree: Sugar Maple
  • Flower: Red Clover
  • Bird: Hermit Thrush
     Fun Facts:
  • Vermont is home to the famous Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
  • Montpelier is home to only 9,000 people and is the smallest state capital in the United States.
  • Montpelier is the largest maple syrup producer in the United States.
