Silly Saturday Facts Collection No. 17

     Hello everybody and welcome back to another edition of Nations Made Fun! I'll be your host, Mr. Nations, your tour guide to this massive world we all call home! I'll be your host, Mr. Nations, your tour guide to this massive world we all call home! Today we'll be discussing another three silly facts, so let's get right into it!

  • Way, way back when we talked about Pope Gregory IX and his hatred for cats, He ordered them all to be killed under any circumstances. Well, it is thought that the disappearance of those cats helped spread the bubonic plague.
  • Chinese women used to bind their feet to prevent further growth. The Chinese thought that the smaller a woman's feet were, the more feminine, therefore the more attractive, the woman was.
  • The Leaning Tower of Pisa was never straight to begin with. The foundation was set on unstable soil, causing the structure to lean when workers started on the second floor.
