Hello everybody and welcome back to another edition of Global History Hub! I'll be your host, Mr. Nations, your tour guide to this massive world we all call home! Today' we'll be taking a look at another three silly facts for Silly Saturday. Well, what are we waiting for? Let's dive straight into it, shall we?

  • Up until the twentieth century in Mongolia, criminals could be locked in a wooden box as punishment, sometimes left to die of starvation.
  • In Renaissance France, a woman could take a man to court if he was impotent.
  • The town of Salem, New Jersey once held a trial against all tomatoes because they thought they were poisonous. The case ended when a man ate an entire basket of tomatoes without consequence.
