  • Motto: Virtute et armis (“By valor and arms”)

  • Bird: Mockingbird
     Fun Facts:
  • The world's largest cactus plantation is located in Mississipi.
  • The world's first successful lung and heart transplant took place in Mississippi.
  • Pine-Sol was invented in 1929 in Mississippi.
