Future of Global History Hub

Hello everybody. I've been doing some thinking about the future of Global History Hub, and even to me, it's still not crystal clear. I think the future will most likely hold a weekly post rather than a daily post. I definitely don't want to stop posting altogether, because I've poured my heart and soul into this blog. Starting as soon as possible, posts will become a weekly occurrence rather than a daily one for the time being. I look forward to our new schedule going forward.

Best,

-Mr. Nations

Weird Week

Hello everybody! I want to apologize for the lack of posts this week. As you have may have already noticed, I am not posting very much at all. I'm not sure why I entirely lost steam on my blog, but I sincerely hope I'll get back on the grind. :(

     Best,

     Mr. Nations

Schedule For The Remainder of 2020

Hello everybody and welcome back to another edition of Global History Hub! I'll be your host, Mr. Nations, your tour guide to this massive world we all call home! In today's post, I will be explaining the current schedule for 2020. As of the making of this post, there will be no more posts for this year, save for one at the end of the year on December 31st.

I'd like to return to a normal posting schedule, but as you may have already guessed, everything is subject to change. So as of right now, the current schedule is:

  • No posts for the remainder of 2020, except for one on December 31st.
  • Normal posting schedule will resume January 1st, 2021 (hopefully)
I hope we can have a great 2021, and I hope we can finish off 2020 right. See y'all later!

Global History Hub - Finishing 2020 Strong

Hello everybody! Wow, I really did not think I would make it to the end of this year with this blog still running as long as it has. 2020 sure has been a year for this blog, and it shows. I started this year with little motivation to keep this site running, and a few half-effort posts. It soon became a project that I vowed to keep up for as long as I can before running out of steam. Even though very few people see this, it still gives me happiness knowing that some people see it.

This year has been interesting for all of us, there's no denying that. With the coronavirus pandemic putting a damper on all major festivities and entertainment, we've all been forced to change and make do. My blog underwent some serious changes in 2020, and as we progressed through the year, I found it harder to keep posting. But all labors of love require effort, and I wasn't going to give up. I did go on some long breaks, mainly to keep myself from burning out completely and never returning to my blog. To those that read my posts, thank you. It's really what kept me going through all this.

This year for my blog included a design overhaul, the inclusion of photos and fun facts, and many schedule revisions. This year, I added well over 200 posts to my roster, bringing my total to 428 as of 12/24/20. I'm ecstatic for the years to come, and I hope I'll keep this site up as long as I can. In my next post, I'll discuss the schedule for the coming days, but this post is reserved for a little celebratory post.

Thank you all for supporting me!

:)

New Project

Hello everyone! After doing some thinking, I have decided that my new project will be a sort of countdown until Christmas. I want to continue making posts and try to keep a regular schedule, but it's all subject to change as it usually is around here. I want to get a post out, but I've been feeling really down on myself and don't know if I can. But I really, really want to keep pushing out posts, even if they are shorter than usual.

     Regards,

     Mr. Nations

Return

Hello everybody and welcome back to Global History Hub! I want to apologize for missing two posts after my promised deadline. I got caught up in the Thanksgiving break festivities and ended up missing two posts. Despite this, I welcome everybody back and I can't wait to start posting again. I think that it might be time to embark on my next big project, but I don't want to spoil the surprise. I'll create a follow-up post later today. It will most likely be Christmas themed!

Regards,

Mr. Nations

Some Changes

Hello everybody! I've been thinking about bringing some changes to my website, mostly because I have somewhat burnt out on my blog so far. Now, I don't want to stop cold turkey for a few weeks (although I will not make any posts for the entirety of next week due to me having Thanksgiving break), but I do want to do something that I think is more "fun" to get me through the week. So here are a few ideas.
  1. Doing a 3-part post, such as breaking one subject into three short posts.
  2. Just lengthening my upcoming break by three days.
  3. Having a bunch of Thanksgiving facts compiled and posting it all on Wednesday before going on break
  4. Or something else.
I think what will end up happening is that I will post many facts on Wednesday, and leave for one week. I hope that it all works out in the end, but things may change. See ya!

Trying Something New for Innovative Tuesday!

Hello everybody and welcome back! I am thinking about trying something new for Innovative Tuesday, as you may have already known from the title. My usual format is to review one major invention every day and write a few brief paragraphs about it, some fun facts, and a picture to accompany it. However, I am thinking about switching it up. Instead of covering one major invention every day, I would instead cover two smaller inventions every day, breaking them up into two or three small paragraphs per invention. This would help me cover more inventions in a quicker amount of time while also not taking away from the length of my posts. I will implement the first example of this later today.

     Regards,

     Mr. Nations

Notice

Hello everybody. I regret to inform you that I will be taking a one week leave of absence to focus more on my schoolwork. I need to be absolutely focused on my schoolwork, and my blog unfortunately is a possible distraction. I will be back on October 12th, 2020. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Schedule Restructuring

Hello everybody and welcome back to another post! As you can tell from my title, I am considering restructuring my schedule. I've been doing the same schedule for quite a while now, so I think a change may be near. This is all, of course, just considerations. Please share your thoughts and questions in the comment section.

     Mr. Nations

Presidential Biographies: My Thoughts, Experiences, And Opinions

Hello everybody, it's Mr. Nations! Phew, it's been a long road since the beginning of Presidential Biographies. I started this endeavor on March 28th, 2020, and officially ended it on June 15th, 2020. Counting everything up, I spent seventy-nine days on this project. Admittedly, some of that was me taking a break and doing the 300 Fast Facts Series. For this post, I'm going to share my thoughts and experiences with this project.

     Q. Did I enjoy it?

     A. For the most part, yes. Posting high-quality content proved to be time-consuming at some points and therefore drained my energy. Without the break I took in the very middle I may never have reached my final goal.

     Q. Was it fun?

     A. At some points, but for the most part, no. I enjoyed learning about the older presidents very much, but once I hit the twentieth century it started to get boring. It just wasn't as interesting to me. Overall I think that this was a good experience for me though. It taught me to stick to my promises and to take breaks when things get too tough.

     Q. Would I do something like this again?

     A. Short answer, no. At least, not in the near future. This was an exhausting project that left me tired and lazy. I may consider doing something of this magnitude again if it is highly requested by viewers, but I won't consider it until I am absolutely certain I have the fight in me to finish the project.

     Q. When will I start posting again?

     A. In about two weeks. I am taking a two-week break to catch my breath before I resume my normal posting schedule. Posts will resume on Saturday, June 27th, 2020.

     Q. Will there be any major website changes?

     A. Probably not. I quite like my posting schedule and will keep it until I am fresh out of ideas. Please note that in my first post, I said that the schedule is completely subject to change and can and will change on my whims. Posts may increase or decrease in the future depending on whether I have the time for posts anymore.

IMPORTANT: Please note that I may not go completely dark. I may put up a few posts depending on whether or not I feel like I should. School is out for me, which means summer break. You may see an increase in post frequency.

Thank you for taking the time to read everything. If you've gotten this far, congratulations! Most don't. It's been a long time since I asked this, but if you have any friends you can send this to, please do so. Remember, you're great!

     Signed,

     Mr. Nations

After The 300 Fast Facts Series - What Comes Next?

Hello everybody and welcome back to another post. Now that I have finished my 300 Fast Facts Series, you might be wondering, "What comes next?" Well, for starters, I am going to begin working on Presidential Biographies after the weekend, meaning I will post the next installment of the series on June 6th. After that, I will take a break for one or two weeks. After that, I will resume my normal posting schedule.

Change of Plans

Hello everybody and welcome back to another edition of International History Hub! I'll be your host, Mr. Nations, your tour guide to this massive world we all call home! Today, we'll be doing something special. As mentioned in my previous posts, I am going to be writing a massive 300 fun facts for the occasion, but instead of one large post, I'll release ten smaller posts, each with thirty fun facts each. I'll try to release as many as I can a day, and if I'm quick, I can be done by Wednesday! Stay tuned, folks!

     Signed,

     Mr. Nations

My Decision

Hello everyone! Seeing as that nobody left me any suggestions in the comments, I will be choosing myself. The plan will be for me to discontinue Presidential Biographies for the duration of one week to begin the project. I will post the three-hundred fact post next Monday, June 1st, so be ready for that.

     Mr. Nations

300th Post Celebration! (PLEASE READ!)

Hello everybody! As you may have noticed, I have recently reached 300 posts on my blog. To mark the achievement, I will be doing one of the longest consecutive posts on my blog. It's going to be big. It's going to be long and difficult. It. Is. 300 HISTORICAL FUN FACTS!!! That's right, I will be doing 300 historical fun facts, all condensed into one post. Of course, it's not all going to be about the same topic, it's going to be ten facts about thirty different subjects. For example, a single section might look like this.

     [Topic Name]

     1. Filler text
     2. Filler text
     3. Filler text

So on and so forth until I reach ten, where I will change the subject. I think this will be a fun project to embark on for a while, but that means that I will have to cease the production of Presidential Biography posts for a while. So, here are the options.

     1. I stop doing Presidential Biographies and spend a few days working on the three-hundred facts

     OR

     2. I continue doing Presidential Biographies and after I finish that series of posts, I begin work on the three-hundred facts.

Please comment on what YOU think I should do. If I don't get any replies, I will choose myself. Thank you!

     Signed,

     Mr. Nations

Changes

Hello everybody! As you may have noticed, I have overhauled my entire blog. It now looks a lot better in my opinion and looks like a historical blog. Please tell me if you think I should make any changes. I am taking any and all suggestions into consideration, but please make them within reason.

     Regards,

     Mr. Nations

Important Notice

Hello everybody. As you know, I have been doing presidential biographies for some time now. However, I am almost completely burned out on this project. Now, I'm not saying I'm ending it completely, I'm just saying that I need a little break from it, just for a few days. I will finish today's post and then will not be back until Monday, May 4th, 2020. I chose today because today marks the exact halfway point for this project. I am very sorry, but working on this project has taken it out of me.

     Regards,

     Mr. Nations
